Our team provides home visits and a centre-based services. We also help and support families who are experiencing difficulties in coping with stress and the challenges of parenting.
SureStart Edenballymore delivers a range of community-based services for families with young children in Creggan, Bogside, Brandywell, Fountain, Bishop Street, Foyle Road and Strand Road areas of Derry. Our vision is to work with parents and partners to ensure that all children across the area have the opportunity to achieve their full potential. We provide help and advice on child and family health, parenting, and family life and strive to make family life a positive and enjoyable experience.
The team at SureStart Edenballymore has a good understanding of services available in the city and can confidently signpost families to services and support them in doing so. Families, carers, and staff are regularly consulted about services on offer and are involved in decisions to take SureStart forward and develop it for the future. Our programmes offer guidance on parenting skills, speech and language, play, child development, and much more. We provide a supportive community where families can connect, share experiences, and access resources to strengthen family bonds.

Our Family Outreach Support Service offers support to families and their children aged 0-4, whether home-based or centre-based.
SureStart Developmental Programme for 2-3 Year-Olds is an initiative for two-year-old children within the SureStart catchment area.
SureStart’s Speech and Language Therapy (SLT) Service aims to improve early identification and support for children with speech, language, and communication difficulties.
The Creche Provision service is available to all parents when they attend a SureStart activity for parents only. It is a fun, safe environment that offers quality play experiences in our child-friendly facilities.
